About the Wild Olive

 

The benefits of olive oil have been heralded for centuries. New to the market, Australian-owned “The Wild Olive” is proudly producing some of the most delicious and nutrient dense Olive Oil in the world, harvested from trees traditionally found in Southern Greece. While olive oil is not new to most people, The Wild Olive promises something completely different from the more familiar (and boutique) brands commonly available.

Its premium olives are grown on trees that can range in age up to 1000’s of years nestled in the wild mountainous region of Laconia in Southern Greece, where premium Olive Oil has been produced for as long as people have existed. It is a landscape completely free of chemical fertilisers and pesticides that supports specific species of olive trees unique to the area. Soil, climate and proximity to the sea are factors that contribute to oils renowned for taste, quality and health benefits.

Meet the Founder

Evan Karavitis, Founder and Director of The Wild Olive, believes that food is the best way to connect with people. It is through his love for food, health and his connection between his roots in Australia and Motherland, Greece, that The Wild Olive was born.

Since a young boy, Evan has always been committed to hard work, fitness, and health. At just 16 years of age, Evan debuted as an elite athlete, representing Australia for under 17s and 18s in International soccer tournaments. As a scholarship holder at the Victorian Institute of Sport, Evan played soccer for the highest level in the country and was awarded the Best Youth Player (under 16), and State Weinstein Medal. Evan’s keen interest in developing his fitness and health interests, lead to the establishment of his F45 business in Keilor East, Melbourne, Australia.

Evan is committed to his cause - ingesting The Wild Olive each day over the last 12 months, for its many known health benefits. His cherished wife, Pinar, enjoys cooking with The Early Harvest for his family. Family holds a large value in Evan’s heart. When he is taking a break from his active endeavors, Evan enjoys spending time with his family, all while maintaining a healthy work-life balance and maintaining optimum health with The Wild Olive.

Dedicated to improving people's understanding of what constitutes high-quality olive oil through education, taste, commitment, and passion while honoring ancient traditions in order to produce the most nutrient-dense Greek olive oil in the world.
